BICENTENÁRIO DE FRANKENSTEIN: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA DO MAPEAMENTO DE ADAPTAÇÕES DA OBRA DE MARY SHELLEY EM SALA DE AULA DE LÍNGUA INGLESA COMO PRÁTICA DO PIBID NAS OFICINAS DO PROEMI

Based on the interest in working with literary works through their media transpositions in the English classroom, this article, characterized as an report of experience, aims to portray one of the actions developed by the “Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência” (PIBID), in the second half of 2018, in conjunction with the Workshops of the “Programa Ensino Médio Inovador” (ProEMI) at Colégio Modelo Luís Eduardo Magalhães in Jacobina - BA. The activity was to map some adaptations of the gothic novel "Frankenstein: or modern Prometheus" by Mary Shelley that were developed for the most diverse formats over time. Thereafter informative banners were built based on the aforementioned data collection. There were two moments of cinematographic intervention, directly related to thematic discussions to the film adaptations and the mentioned literary work, which in the highlighted year completed its bicentennial. Through praxis and the positive result of the action, this article pursues to discuss throughout the text elements as the autonomy of the student developed through a constructivist methodology, as well as the research work linked to the adaptations of Shelley's work and mainly to discuss the potential of using adaptations of a literary work in English as pedagogical material, in order to contribute to the cultural formation of students, as well as increase their interest in the original text (SILVA; DIAS, 2018).
