Abstract
This paper is the result of reflections made in doctoral research in which Brazilian postgraduate studies are analysed. The aim is to present the postgraduate scenario, taking into account the onslaught of the entrepreneurialisation of Brazilian higher education in recent years. In order to think about education, our reflections take into account the historical, economic, political, social and cultural character of the Brazilian reality, as well as the global context of capitalist development. This is bibliographical and documentary research, anchored in historical-dialectical materialism. We hope to contribute to studies that discuss higher education in Brazil, especially postgraduate studies, defending the production of critical and propositional knowledge.
