CONTINUING EDUCATION IN EXTENSION: a study based on NUEP/SUAS-RS

Abstract
This study aims to present partial data from ongoing research – Continuing Education in the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) through university extension in Rio Grande do Sul. The resumption of discussions on work management within the Unified Social Assistance System was an important step towards strengthening SUAS. Studies preceding this research pointed to a growing accumulation of productions on the subject, which was dismantled from 2017 onwards. In addition to research, important actions within universities regarding continuing education through extension programs are revealed, which motivated this research. The partial data contribute to understanding: a) the group of professors and institutions currently participating in the Continuing Education Center of the Unified Social Assistance System of the state of Rio Grande do Sul (NUEP/SUAS-RS); b) the extension actions already implemented in the state of Rio Grande do Sul that relate-to SUAS; c) it reveals an extension network that can be activated as a network at the state level.
