SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS: THE STATE AND THE CONTROL OF FEMINIZED BODIES IN CAPITALISM

Abstract
This paper discusses sexual and reproductive rights in light of the control of bodies in capitalist society, based on the formal freedom established by democratic states with rights. The study reflects on the sexual division of labor and the invisibility of reproductive and unpaid labor, historically assigned to women, which is the basis for the maintenance of the capitalist system. This is a systematic literature review that seeks to understand the factors related to the appropriation of feminized bodies in capitalism and their impact on sexual and reproductive rights, including autonomy and self-determination, which are indispensable for the realization of sexual and reproductive rights in practice.It is concluded that issues related to the gender debate are important to Social Work, especially due to its ethical and political commitment, and that gender inequalities impact the lives of girls and women, from the productive sphere to the reproductive sphere and the experience of sexuality and affections, which are shaped by capitalist relations in sociability.
