Resumen
El objetivo de este ensayo teórico es explorar el enfoque de la estrategia como práctica para comprender cómo las características de las organizaciones cooperativas influyen en la naturaleza de sus prácticas de sostenibilidad. El tema de la sostenibilidad no es nuevo en el entorno empresarial, pero en los últimos años se ha convertido en un tema imperativo en el desarrollo de estrategias organizacionales. Esta realidad no es diferente en las organizaciones cooperativas, lo que difiere es su peculiar forma de operar por principios que las acercan a los principales lineamientos del desarrollo sostenible, lo que debe colocar a las cooperativas en un lugar destacado en la agenda de sostenibilidad, hecho que no ocurre. Este ensayo demuestra, a través del enfoque de Estrategia como práctica, los factores impulsores y restrictivos, referidos a la sostenibilidad en las cooperativas y, además, propone que el séptimo principio cooperativo si se pone en práctica, en su verdadero significado, puede poner las cooperativas en el papel. protagonistas del desarrollo sostenible.
