REEXAMINING BRAZIL'S INTERNATIONAL INSERTION

Abstract
The Lula government marked a significant turn in Brazilian foreign policy, adopting a more active and pragmatic approach. The search for greater global protagonism focused on promoting multilateralism and demanding representation for Southern countries in global institutions. Economic, political and social diplomacy was articulated, highlighting mediation with Iran on the nuclear issue. This approach, guided by constitutional principles, reflected the search for autonomy in a multipolar international scenario, marking Brazil's active role in the global dynamics of the 21st century. The study aims to analyze the dimension of Brazil's international insertion, with an emphasis on multilateral diplomacy, exploring the thoughts of Celso Amorim and Samuel Pinheiro Guimarães as the main articulators of foreign policy during the Workers' Party (PT) government.
